Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper establishes a demonstrative Natural Language Understanding (NLU) model and prototypes an AI-based chatbot for site managers to 16 inquire building component dimensions during their daily routines. The paper is very interesting. The following problems should be noticed as follows:

1、  During the experimental section, please compare your results with the latest NLU techniques.

2、  What’s the main shortcoming of the proposed NLU model?

3、  The novelty of the paper should be summarized in the Introduction one by one.

4、  Except for the site managers, is there any potential applications for the model?

5、  What’s the main problem that have not been solved well in the present research? Please list it in your introduction section.

6、  Compare with ChatGTP (https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt/), what’s the advantage of your model?

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear author,

Your paper is very interesting and innovative. Similar to your premise, I consider that this is the path of BIM development, directed by the increase in labour shortage. User-friendliness is more important than ever. I have some suggestions for the paper's improvement:

  • The literature review needs to be strengthened by relevant and recent references.
  • Titles of sub-chapters 2.1 and 2.2 are the same, whereas sub-chapter 2.2 should be a part of 2.1.
  • Consider adding a discussion chapter to clarify your approach's contribution and implications.

Kind regards
