Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors studied the sustainable behavior based on the awareness of food labels and assessed the role of food quality certification in consumer choice. They found that consumers were not yet familiar with the Lithuanian national food quality system. There are some problems that should be addressed.

Materials and methods should be divided into subsections for an easy reading.

Since this study was conducted in Lithuania, it should be reflected in the title, the Abstract, and anywhere else where it’s necessary.

Past tense should be used when you describe your results and findings.

References (J. Schwarze [1] method) should not be cited in the Abstract.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper focuses on an online survey carried out with the aims to predict sustainable behavior based on the awareness of food labels and to assess the role of food quality certification in consumer choice. The study is based on a solid experimental design and leads to relevant data on the level of knowledge and attitudes of consumers towards food labels awareness. The results are consistent with the objectives, with the experimental design and with the statistical data analysis. Unfortunately, the scientific value of the paper finds weaknesses in the arguments reported in the Discussion paragraph. Some errors and argumentative inconsistencies affect the value of the contents. I ask the author to correct and rearrange the Discussion paragraph. Furthermore, the text should be correct in the points indicated.
