While this article is valuable, it has two major drawbacks: too long introduction and too little discussion. I present a few additional comments below: - Introduction, second paragraph - it is worth supplementing with the topic of sociohydrology as it is a research approach that combines all the elements indicated by the authors. - The topic of using the SWAT model should be compressed. The introduction does not require such a broad justification of the model's credibility. This should be done in the discussion. - Study area, start of the third paragraph. After the sentence "Potohar Plateau is the fastest growing region of the Pakistan, with a population of around 12 million in 2017 [40]." it is worth recalling newer data. - Figure 1. On a small map of Punjab, on the left side, there should be the names of major cities. - 3.3. LULC Projections. It is worth explaining why the water surface in 2030 will be greater than in 2020. The remaining elements of Table 4 do not raise any doubts. - The content of Table 4 and Figure 5 overlap to a large extent. It is worth combining these drawings into one. - Some similar figures should be included in supplements. For example, Figures 9-11.- In the Results and Discussions chapter, the discussion should definitely be developed.

The paper entitled “Estimation of Water Balance under Anticipated Land Use in Potohar Plateau of Indus Basin using SWAT” discusses the use of the SWAT model in Potohar Plateau and intends to assess the enduring changes in LULC and evaluate their plausible repercussions on the hydrological regime
I believe, before publishing the manuscript, the authors should better explain the novelty and originality of the manuscript.
The authors must respect the Template Remote sensing MDPI
