Exploring Reduced Graphene Oxide Sheets Stabilized by Cu(II) and Cu(I) Cations in Ethanol
Abstract
:1. Introduction
- Is the added copper chloride hydrated salt necessary to observe plasmons?
- Can plasmon positions and intensities be adjusted by dilution?
- Can plasmon coupling with C-C vibrations be evidenced?
- Can plasmons be eliminated to study photocatalytic properties attributed to copper species and reduced graphene particles?

- The duration of the ultrasound treatment applied (equal to 4 h).
After Copper Chloride Addition
3.2.3. Influence of Graphene Sizes Studied by Fluorescence (Emission) Spectra
3.2.4. Reactivity Test
- (1)
- An amount of 250 μL of the initial solution was diluted in 4 mL of distilled water, directly inside a 1 cm cell in quartz;
- (2)
- Dilution 2 was prepared by the dilution of 250 μL of dilution 1 into 4 mL of distilled water;
- (3)
- Dilution 3 was prepared with 250 μL of dilution 2 into 4 mL of water. To these dilutions, 250 μL of liquid was removed and replaced with 250 μL of the active liquor.
