Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is a well written paper, presenting original ideas from thermodynamic theory as applied to the know theorized dark matter galactic halos. The conclusions are far-reaching, and should influence the further development of this topic.

1 typo noted on line 246: change "in frequent" to "infrequent".

Author Response

Many thanks for the positive remarks.  I fixed line 246, looked for other typos etc and fixed these lapses (yellow highlights).

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear editor of Galaxies

The author have studied the properties of halos gas via thermodynamics laws and kinetic theory, and showed that non-baryonic dark matter halos cannot be according to the observations. In my opinion, this paper is good and I recommend it for publishing in your journal. However the images of Figure 1 are not clear and I advise to remove this problem.

Author Response

Many thanks for the positive comments.  I fixed typos etc. (marked in yellow highlights).

re figure 1, I expanded the caption to make the purpose of the figure clearer.  I think that the images are not the problem, but will provide higher resolution if the managing editor thinks this is needed.
