I would kindly ask them to include the information about the primers, the conditions and the PCR system used for beta actin detection in the manuscript for clarification.

As specified in the manuscript, the samples used from this study were collected from commercial slaughtered pigs and secondary samples delivered to the Central Veterinary Laboratory of Windhoek for diagnostic purposes in the presence of clinical signs. Therefore, no ethical approval was required according to Namibian national legislation.
