Review of the manuscript:

Compressive Properties of Green Velvet Material Used in Mattress Bedding

Paper describes the development of Green Velvet Material mattress bedding material. The English language must be significantly improved, the manuscript must be corrected by a native speaker. The article can be accepted only after major improvement.

My comments:

  • The abstract must be rewritten. Please be more concise and use scientific language. I was not able to see evidence that the developed material is bio-degradable.
  • I don’t believe that your material and PU foam is white pollution.
  • Can recycled polyester be considered renewable feedstock?
  • Information between lines 57-71 should be put into the methodology and not in the introduction.
  • I could not understand what type of material was obtained. Is it some kind of unwoven mat? In line, 130 authors discuss cell walls. Is it correct to compare this material to flexible PU foams? A picture of material microstructure would significantly improve the manuscript. I can’t see a difference between blocks visible in Fig. 2.
  • The main conclusion of the article is that developed material has higher mechanical properties when the apparent density is increased. Where is the novelty? Maybe I have missed something due to poor English language.

Reviewer 3 Report

This is a well written and presented article that fits within the scope of the journal and can be published after a very minor revision. I would like the authors to re-write the conclusions and try to avoid so many details.
