Consolidation of Fragile Oracle Bones Using Nano Calcium Sulfate Hemihydrate as a Protectant
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Detailed comments:
1. The English of the text should be checked
2. Figure 5 must be replaced with a table that must contains the obtained values of absorbance in time. Also, more explanation must be included and compared the obtained results with other from literature
3. At Figures 10, 11, 12 and 13, on the bars must be indicated the values
4. More Conclusions with the best obtained results must be included
5. Comparison between the obtained results and measured in this study with other reported studies should be done and included for more clarity (indicate values not just number of reference).
6. The possible applications of the obtained materials must be included
7. Same Reference are very old. The manuscript must contain the relevant information to be attractive for readers (researchers), because science has advanced, and the information indicated in the manuscript is no longer valid. This part should include observed information, noted in the last 10-12 years.

The topic is interesting but there is lack of literature in proving the materials applicability. Major revision is required....
Autor should provide more literature of the same and discussed.
Introduction: 1. The sentence, "Among the above inorganic materials, calcium sulfate dihydrate can ................................... ..... car- bonate [13]" mentioned so many properties but no references are provided.
2. Motivation should be revised with current research of art.
Results and discussion: Figure 3, size of particle is not evidenced well. size distribution is not well defined. Explain well the figure 3.
Similarly figure 4 is not well explained.
Figure6: a,b,c,d are not clearly visible, highlight it please.
Figure 12: "The hardness of samples is increased obviously after the consolida- tion treatment from the results of Figure 12. It is obviously a result of the formation of CSD. After the hydration treatment, the particles of CSH are integrated together and a continuous phase of CSD phase forms [23]" This section needs to discuss in details.
