Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This was a very interesting article, and the investigation into community support is worthwhile to report on. However, the article was difficult to read. The reason for this was that there is a lot of discussion going on, but not always a coherency or logic flow. A plethora of terminology/concepts are used which in many instances are not clearly explained in the context it is discussed.

Some examples:

Line 38 - "...keys..." Think of using a better term

Line 70 -Collaborative support consists in community support that is built from a counseling approach. What is a counseling approach?

Line 72 - What is meant by a confident relationship?

Line 73-74 - "As such, support is an integral part of the context that is articulated through its interrelations with the school, the diversity and the curriculum." What is meant by this statement?

Please explain how diversity is understood.

Line 80 - what does "natural support" mean and entail?

Line 81 - what is meant by "self-responses"?

Line 82- 84 - "community support include a number of interventions that encompass the community, the social network and groups as well as dyadic and individual actions."

Who does the community refer to?

Who does the social network refer to?

Who does groups refer to?

Line 95 - What is meant by "certain contexts"?

The research method needs some clarification and more detail:

Line 110 - 111 - "..research, it should be noted that they were mainly scientific articles, books, communications in thematic congresses and reports in the field of specialization of attention to diversity"

What is meant by  "mainly"?

Which themes were focused on?

"field of specialization of attention to diversity"  -how does link to the focus of the article?

Line 115 - present day? rather give a year

Line 118 - which key documents?

More information is needed about the process/steps that have been followed.

What was the inclusion/exclusion criteria?

How many documents were used?

Did these documents cover international contexts?

Line 134 - Based on what evidence is it stated that inclusive education started 30 years ago? Internationally?

Line 135- 136 - "A review of the literature regarding creative and collaborative responses in different spaces and under different premises" What is meant by creative and collaborative responses?

What is meant by different spaces and different premises?

Line 148 - inclusive research means something different than research on inclusion or inclusive education

Line 165 - What is meant by a culture of diversity and collaboration?

Line 179 - What does a socio-historical perspective mean?

Line 181 - What does "stir up the curriculum" mean?

This kind of incoherence continues throught the rest of the article and I cannot indicate all of it in this review.

The conclusion:

Line 428 - "community perspective is one of the least referred to." Does this mean that in all the documents analysed it was the term community perspective that was the least referred to or mentioned? This must be explained further.

Line 429 - What is meant by "intensive contributions"?

Line 430 - The use of "current" needs to be reconsidered.

Line 431 - What is meant by "harmoniously embrace other perspectives and lines of development,.."

Line 434 - What is "vulnerable collectives"?

Line 435 - 436 Please clarify "This redefines the view of the object of study and the educational practices as well as the ways of approaching inclusive education."

Line 440 - What is meant by "mutual aid"?

Line 441 - 448 - very long sentence and very confusing statement/s

Who is the "we" referred to in this long statement?

Line 473- 476 - "As a result, we have encountered educational proposals and didactic and organizational approaches that nowadays lead us towards educational formulas focusing on the humanization of education, the relationship with the other, his or her recognition and the redistribution of knowledge and support, all of which are articulated in projects aimed to the common good."
Unfortunately, this last statement is confusing and needs a more succinct reformulation.

In essence the article needs to be written more coherently, with better formulated sentences and careful use of concepts. Concepts must be clarified/defined within the context of the discussions.

The general, basic use of the English language is more or less satisfactory. However, the article is difficult to read as the discussions do not always have a logical flow or coherent statements.

Please correct - Line 45  - Vygostkian

A few sentences are started by "And"

Reviewer 2 Report

Only three keywords are included in the abstract, is this number of descriptors correct?

The authors should cite the number of articles consulted from the different indexes to which they resorted; it is not clear the number of investigations between the two time points they mark, which would emphasize the importance of each of the topics indicated.

The analysis of the different contents reviewed could be presented synthetically in a table concentrating the main findings.

Limitations and alternative paths that can be derived from this work are not included.

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors

Thank you for addressing all my comments. I am satisfied with the revisions made. This has enhanced the quality of a good article.

One small editing comment. Be careful to start two sentences after each other with the same words. For example in the first two sentences in the introduction both start with "The community perspective".

The quality is satisfactory and of acceptable scholarly standard.
