Title: The effect of the new imidazole derivatives complexation with betacyclodextrin, on the antifungal activity in oropharyngeal infections
Manuscript ID: Processes-2084402
The present work entitled “The effect of the new imidazole derivatives complexation with betacyclodextrin, on the antifungal activity in oropharyngeal infections” with Manuscript ID: Processes-2084402, was significant due its application in biomedical field by employing Host-Guest complexation process. Minor revisions were required before going to accept this manuscript, the following issues were to be addressed.
1. Why author has chosen β-CD, What was the experimental result with other Cyclodextrins such α-CD or γ-CD.
2. Advanced analytical methods such as NMR (1H and 13C NMR), Mass spectra, HPLC, etc spectra were required to characterize the novel products, hence author has to include this data in the revised manuscript.
3.Chemical structures in Figure-1 were to be modified (It is preferable to use chemdraw software).
4. Author has to specify that, which complex is having good biological application.

- Why author has chosen β-CD, What was the experimental result with other Cyclodextrins such α-CD or γ-CD.
Answer: Through this study, we did not aim to make a comparison between different cyclodextrins, but a comparison between different methods of obtaining inclusion complexes (from the physical method to that of solvent evaporation), using the same type of cyclodextrin (beta in this case). The use of other cyclodextrins in the future is a good idea, for which we thank you and we will definitely take it into account.
- Advanced analytical methods such as NMR (1H and 13C NMR), Mass spectra, HPLC, etc spectra were required to characterize the novel products, hence author has to include this data in the revised manuscript.
Answer: Unfortunately, these confirmations need a longer execution time, especially because we need to repeat all the stages of obtaining, in order to structurally confirm these compounds by other methods (other than the one used by us). The time allotted for this revision is unfortunately too short, which it would be impossible for us to respect it. In addition, in the future we want to develop this study and we will certainly take into account other methods of structural confirmation.
Thank you for understanding this fact!
3.Chemical structures in Figure-1 were to be modified (It is preferable to use chemdraw software).
Answer:
The figure has been redone! Thank you!
- Author has to specify that, which complex is having good biological application.
Answer: Thank you for this observation! According to the indications, the most active complexed derivative was highlighted, at the end of the discussion chapter.

Needs some corrections regarding drug/disease names, use of prepositions and clarity in some specific areas of the abstract and introduction especially. Overall manuscript is good and can be published after receipt of corrected version of manuscript

"In appropriate use of prepositions is very high in the whole manuscript like in abstract section following are the sentences where appropriate use of preposition is extensively required. Wrong prepositions are highlighted with red font.
- ” Moreover, the bioavailability of KZ after oral admin-istration is low in tablets due to its low water solubility”
- However, the use of ketoconazole in topical dosage forms is limited by its high lipophilicity and extremely poor aqueous solubility (1 ng/ mL), thus leading to the rare availability of topical dosage forms on the market.

Introduction Word ,”
- cytostatics be replaced with cytotoxic
- “systematic” be replaced with “systemic”
- “This limitation can be reduced, according to data from the specialized literature, by inclusion in cyclodextrins [9, 10].” This needs to be rephrased for the sake of clarity
Answer: Thank you for the appreciations! All observations were taken into account and included in the revised form!
