The impact of nitrogen levels on the growth and yield of super basmati rice (Oryza sativa L.) at student’s experimental farm. The rice crop that ranked first contained 72 kg of nitrogen, covered 17.33 m2 acres−1 (20% higher than recommended), had a plant height of 73.00 cm, 16.00 m−2 tillers, a kernels spike-1 of 129.00, a seed index of 24.00 g, a biological yield of 345 kg ha−1, and a grain yield of 4781 kg ha−1. The crop supplied with 48 kg acre−1 (20% less than recommended) ranked third in performance with 20.00 m2 and had a plant height of 67.75 cm, 13.81 m−2 tillers, a kernels spike-1 of 126.91, a seed index of 23.18 g, a biological yield of 261 kg ha−1, and a grain yield of 3872 kg ha−1. Rice crop with 54 kg acre−1 (10% less than recommended) that ranked fourth in performance with 18.33 m2 had a plant height of 61.46 cm, 11.48 m−2 tillers, a kernels spike-1 of 122.32, a seed index of 22.48 g, a biological yield of 321 kg ha−1, and a grain yield of 3548 kg ha−1. The 60 kg acre−1 (recommended) ranked last in performance with 13.00 m2, a plant height of 56.08 cm, 10.20 m−2 tillers, a kernels spike-1 of 118.08, a seed index of 22.06 g, a biological yield of 309 kg ha−1, and a grain yield of 3209 kg ha−1. It was concluded that the effect of nitrogen level on the growth and yield traits of rice was remarkable ( p = 0.05 ) and the nitrogen level of 72 kg acre−1 (20% higher than recommended) produced a higher grain yield (4781 kg ha−1) than 66 kg acre−1 (10% higher than recommended) (4100 kg ha−1) and 48 kg acre−1 (20% less than recommended) (3872 kg ha−1).
