One Carbon Metabolism and S-Adenosylmethionine in Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Pathogenesis and Subtypes
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The authors have done a great job on 'One Carbon Metabolism and S-adenosylmethionine in Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Pathogenesis and Subtypes' article.
Suggestions:
1- Introduction: Paragraph line 59 defines NAFLD which I believe should be moved to the beginning of the introduction.
2- NAFLD has recently been renamed and the nomenclature 'MAFLD' is currently the recommended terminology to use. I suggest to use MAFLD instead of NAFLD.
3- Authors describe triglycerides extensively in the first two paragraphs of introduction. I suggest to be more concise as too lengthy and wordy.
4- found some repetitions throughout the text. for example line 212 have been similar to line 60-61. Please revise paper and remove repetitions.

Authors explored the role of 1CM and SAMe in the course of NAFLD. This topic is very essential because of the worldwide commoness of NAFLD and potential implications connected with its management. I have just one request to authors. Could it be possible to refer more precisely to the potential aspects of pharmacological treatment of NAFLD according to 1CM and SAMe?
