Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Recent breakthroughs in the understanding of the mechanisms that regulate the development and spread of tumors and the immune response to them have led to new approaches in the treatment of cancer. The options available to patients now include immunotherapy and targeted therapy, alongside classical endocrine, radiation, and chemotherapies. A better understanding of the mechanism of action of these pharmaceuticals and their structure–activity relationships is essential in order to improve treatments and their applicability to a large variety of tumors. This Special Issue of Applied Sciences, entitled “Advances in Anticancer Drug Research”, aims to gather new insights on the topic of oncology drug discovery. We encourage the submission of contributions covering the design and synthesis of anti-cancer pharmaceuticals, as well as in vivo/in vitro/in silico studies for the evaluation of delivery and activity. Original research papers and review articles are welcomed.
