Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Forest ecosystems provide crucial services, including carbon sequestration, water regulation, soil fertility, and biodiversity support. With increasing pressures from climate change, deforestation, and land use changes, the sustainable management of these ecosystems has become imperative. Despite significant efforts in forest conservation and management, there remains a need for innovative strategies that balance environmental, economic, and social goals.
This Special Issue aims to explore strategies for managing forest ecosystem services sustainably and evaluating them. It seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in the field and highlight novel methods that enhance the resilience and functionality of forest ecosystems.
We invite submissions that address both the theoretical and practical aspects of a wide range of topics related to sustainable forest management practices, including but not limited to the following:
- Innovative approaches to forest conservation and restoration;
- Strategies for enhancing carbon sequestration and climate change mitigation;
- Integration of ecosystem services into forest management plans;
- Evaluation techniques for assessing forest ecosystems;
- Socio-economic impacts of sustainable forest management;
- Advances in monitoring and assessment technologies for forest ecosystems;
- Case studies showcasing successful sustainable management practices.
This Special Issue aims to advance the knowledge and application of sustainable strategies and evaluation methods in forest ecosystem management.
