Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Galaxies observation has posed many new experimental challenges and produced new theoretical explanations that have not yet been completely confirmed. As far as the observation of galaxies is concerned, we have not yet established the nature of the central objects of galaxies, the galactic media, the nature of the galaxies rotation curves both for circular galaxies and for elliptical galaxies, and the constitution of the related intergalactic media. A consistent theoretical framework in which the observational evidence is captured has not been constructed. The elements obtained in the observational tests are characterized by parameters that are aimed at determining the structure of the celestial manifestations.
The search for pertinent consistent theoretical schemes has not yet reached modellization. Experimental observation has provided data that have not permitted the implementation of a clarified description of the galactic objects. The parameters requiring theoretical explanations have not been definitively verified. The techniques for the analysis of the observational data as well as for the estimation of the noise effects have not been refined. No definitive approach exists to the schematization of the theoretical and observed patterns, corresponding to a complete formulation of a consequential theoretical system. A consistent theoretical structure able to explain the formation galaxies, their composition, and evolution has not attained a complete formulation.
The structure and evolution of galaxies is strongly determined by the properties of dark matter and the exploration of galaxies can shed light on its physical nature involving methods of cosmoparticle physics of cross-disciplinary study of new physics in proper combination of its physical, astrophysical and cosmological signatures.
The papers of invited authors will be published, free of charge, with full open access after peer review to benefit both authors and readers.

Galaxies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
