Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
HFpEF by multiple hits, i.e., obesity/fat, hypertension, aging, hyperlipidemia, and others, is a need of ailing myocardium to mitigate failing hearts. Therefore, to de-convolute the mechanism of HFpEF, it is important to compare with single hit, such as high fat diet (HFD)-induced HFpEF versus two-hit and three-hit models of HFpEF. Also, it is important to compare with failing HFrEF. We should also use some treatment stagies such as changes in gut microbiome by dysbiosis diet, which changes the ratio of good versus bad microbiota in the gut, which leads to cardiac dysfunction. Dysbiosis causes epigenetic alterations in DNA methylation, creating hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) unequivocally. This Special Issue aims to focus on the mechanism of HFD-induced HFpEF and compare it with HFrEF.
