Dear Colleagues,
Semiconductor photocatalysis is recognized to be a promising technology to solve the problems of the energy crisis and environmental pollution since it can utilize inexhaustible solar energy to achieve renewable fuel synthesis and hazardous pollutant removal. However, the key to its industrial applications is the development of advanced photocatalytic materials. Up to now, numerous photocatalysts have been developed for various applications including water splitting, CO2 reduction, N2 fixation, pollutant degradation, biomass conversion, organic synthesis, and so on. Among them, inorganic–organic composite catalysts have attracted much attention in photocatalysis due to their integrated advantages and especially their improved photocatalytic activity and stability. Commonly, the composite systems are composed of inorganic semiconductors (TiO2, Cu2O, BiOCl, BiVO4, CdS, Ta3N5, etc.) and organic materials including polymer carbon nitride (g-C3N4), metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs), and conductive polymers (polyaniline, polypyrrole, polythiophene).
In this Special Issue, we invite scholars to submit original research articles and critical reviews that focus on the latest advancements and challenges in inorganic–organic composite photocatalysts including material designs, advanced characterizations, and insights into the reaction mechanisms.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Inorganics is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
