Dear Colleagues,
Epoxy resins are a major category of thermoset polymers widely used in the production of adhesive and coatings, electronic devices, and structural components for automotive, aerospace, marine, and wind turbines. They are in fact used as polymer matrices in the composite industry, and considerable efforts have been made to improve their performance by adding nanofillers to their formulations. Due to their outstanding physical and mechanical properties, graphene and related materials (GRMs) can endow epoxy resins with improved properties and novel functionalities.
This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advances in synthetic approaches, processing methods, interfacial property control, and structural and multifunctional properties of nanocomposites based on epoxy resin filled with graphene and related materials. This Special Issue will cover current developments in epoxy/GRMs nanocomposites for a diverse range of applications, involving, but not limited to, structural materials for the automotive and aerospace industries; sustainable solutions; coatings for self-healing, antifouling, self-cleaning, and corrosion protection; adhesives; thermal management; supercapacitors and energy storage; EMI shielding; and electronic packaging.
