Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In the last 20 years, sports science has experienced exponential growth, particularly for high-level and professional sports; the search for improvements and the evaluation of performance play a fundamental role.

Nutrition and supplementation are integral parts of sports practice, as is the continuous updating of training techniques, and all the performance evaluation methods are connected to this.

This Special Issue aims to provide an updated overview of the techniques used to improve people’s athletic performance: personalized and targeted food supplementation, nutrition with precise timing and dosages, periodized training characterized by sport-specific needs, the continuous and accurate evaluation of performance, guaranteeing a continuous improvement, not least through the use of AI and methods that can be reliable and repeatable.
