Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The 16th Annual Cardiometabolic Health Congress (CMHC) will take place live on 14–17 October 2021 in National Harbor, MD, and it will also be livestreamed. Full details about the conference can be found at https://www.cardiometabolichealth.org/2021/cmhc-16th-annual.html. With this Special Issue, we will provide all the registrants and poster presenters from the 16th Annual CMHC meeting an opportunity to submit for consideration full papers to be considered for publication.*
CMHC has been at the forefront of educating clinicians about the whole spectrum of cardiometabolic disease and practical ways to address them. Since its founding in 2006, CMHC has grown to be the largest US-based multidisciplinary conference focused solely on the prevention and management of cardiometabolic disease. The global epidemic of metabolic syndrome, a constellation of cardiometabolic risk factors, as well as obesity, type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis, chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, and NAFLD/NASH, have become a worldwide modern-day health hazard. Our goal at CMHC is to educate clinicians on comprehensive approaches to address these challenges, as well as practical messages on how to apply these concepts directly to patient care.
As an extension of CMHC, this Special Issue will emphasize the complexities, challenges, and advancements in this field. It aims to give clinicians an additional platform to access articles that represent new updates in cardiometabolic health. Contributions will reflect the cross-disciplinary nature of the field.
