Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
With recent advancements in nanomaterials and nanofabrication, nano-enabled biosensors can offer great potential for the continuous monitoring of environmental and diagnostic signals in wearable devices and flexible sensors. The aim of the Special Issue is to introduce pioneering research activities in nano-enabled biosensors, exhibiting dynamically innovative technologies, methods, and novel integrated devices for next-generation environmental monitoring, point-of-care sensing, rapid diagnostics, healthcare, food safety, and agriculture. The Special Issue will publish original research articles, perspectives, and comprehensive review articles, which will demonstrate current high-impact research topics and future directions in nano-enabled biosensors.
The key topics of this Special Issue will include but are not limited to the fundamental science, technology development, device fabrication, and system design for nano-enabled biosensors, such as: (i) new nanomaterials for sensing applications, (ii) novel nano-fabrication techniques for sensors, (iii) nano-biosensors in point-of-care diagnostics and healthcare (iv) nano-biosensors in wearables, (v) nano-biosensors for environmental monitoring, (vi) nano-biosensors for food safety and agriculture, (vii) data compiling in nano-biosensors, (viii) data collection via nano-biosensors from various biomatrices such as saliva, tear, sweat, urine, blood, and interstitial fluid.
We welcome all type of submissions from different research fields related to nano-enabled biosensors, such as material science, chemistry, physics, electronics, biology, medicine, and engineering.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Micromachines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
