Dear Colleagues,
Coordination compounds represent a dynamic frontier in chemical and biological research, offering the potential to transform a range of applications, from therapeutic agents to diagnostic tools. These compounds, which consist of a central metal atom or ion bonded to various ligands, are of particular interest due to their diverse and tuneable properties. By investigating their molecular interactions, we can uncover crucial information about their stability and reactivity and how they interact with biomolecules, which is essential to their use in therapeutics and diagnostics.
This Special Issue will showcase work by scholars in the synthesis and biological evaluation of these sophisticated compounds. By exploring novel coordination compounds and their interactions at the molecular/biomolecular level, researchers will share new insights into these compounds’ stability, reactivity, and biological activity. We invite contributions that delve into innovative synthesis methods, structure–activity relationships, and the evaluation of biological effects, including interactions with biomolecules. We welcome contributions showing advancements in this exciting field that will help pave the way for next-generation coordination compounds with enhanced efficacy and specificity for biomedical applications.
