Dear Colleagues,
With the development of information technology, the application of electromagnetic wave becomes more and more widespread, and the accompanying electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic pollution problems seriously affect people’s lives. Electromagnetic wave-absorbing materials (or absorbers) are capable of absorbing electromagnetic waves and dissipating them by converting them into heat or other forms of energy. In recent years, nanomaterials including, but not limited to, one-dimensional silicon carbide nanowires, two-dimensional graphene, MXene, transition metal disulfides, and high-entropy alloys have been developing rapidly, and these promising nanomaterials have various uses in the field of electromagnetic wave absorption due to their unique properties. More importantly, these nanomaterials can be structurally designed (such as thin films, powders, fibers, aerogels and functional foams) to exhibit even better electromagnetic wave absorption properties. Therefore, this Special Issue aims to comprehensively collect works related to improving microwave absorption performance through the design of nanostructures and nanomaterials in the field of electromagnetic wave absorption.
We would like to invite you to submit a paper to this Special Issue. We are seeking full papers, communications, and reviews that cover novel structure–property relationships, up-scaling, multiple applications, and future directions of microwave absorption.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Nanomaterials is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
