Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Nowadays, it is considered highly beneficial for human health to use herbal products due to their remarkable medicinal properties. As a result, the commercial demand for such products is continuously on the rise both in the European and in the global market. Cultivations through various methods are employed to address this demand, as they successfully meet the need for the mass production of plant material and the demand of pharmaceutical companies for standardized plants with known concentrations of bioactive ingredients. Unfortunately, it has been observed that adulterated and low-quality plant material, as well as preparations without certification, are found in the market.
This Special Issue concerns investigations focused on the authenticity of plant material with the help of its chemical fingerprint.
