Special Issue Information
The objective of this special issue is to provide results of high quality research on widely understood medical images processing. We would like to focus on specialized methods/algorithms developed for medical images and/or sequences of images and/or video. In particular, applications of proposed methods on real medical images, including medicine experts opinion are encouraged. We expect research papers with new results or the very good and comprehensive papers which will provide a consolidated state-of-the-art in this area (or sub-area). The topics may include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Invariant features for medical image recognition
· Fuzzy logic (fuzzy relations) in medical images processing
· Medical images annotation
· Medical images retrieval
· Medical images interpretations
· Medical images analysis and medical data mining in computer systems for supporting medical decisions (diagnosis, therapy, etc.)
Benefits of Publishing in a Special Issue
- Ease of navigation: Grouping papers by topic helps scholars navigate broad scope journals more efficiently.
- Greater discoverability: Special Issues support the reach and impact of scientific research. Articles in Special Issues are more discoverable and cited more frequently.
- Expansion of research network: Special Issues facilitate connections among authors, fostering scientific collaborations.
- External promotion: Articles in Special Issues are often promoted through the journal's social media, increasing their visibility.
- e-Book format: Special Issues with more than 10 articles can be published as dedicated e-books, ensuring wide and rapid dissemination.
