Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

In my opinion, this manuscript hat reports a well-done literature review on molecular mode of action of seaweed-based biostimulants and the sustainability of seaweeds as raw material resources. The paper is well written and well structured, providing the motivation to study this subject.

Make sure all items are cited in the text and in the table of contents and vice versa. In the chapter, please add doi.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear Authors

The review then summarizes the recent advances in determining the genetic and molecular mechanisms activated by seaweed-based biostimulants, their influence on transcriptome reconfiguration, metabolite adjustment, and ultimately stress protection, improved nutrient uptake, plant growth and performance. This knowledge is important for deciphering the intricate stress signalling network modulated by seaweed-based biostimulants and can aid in designing molecular priming technologies for crop improvement.
