5. Conclusions
- Children and older people are the most exposed people.
- Risk distribution among ages are different by gender.
- We estimate the magnitude and trend of home injuries in Italy in an broad period (1999–2006) starting just after the establishment of the current law (No. 493/1999) about home injury.
- We examine injury risks for different age-specific populations (children, young/adults and older people) and assess the effects of socio-demographic, health/income satisfaction and housing variables.
- We find a decreasing trend of risk only in young/adults suggesting specific information campaigns.
