Abstract

- (1)
- Significant negative correlations between resilience and emotional exhaustion and depersonalization (cynicism), and a positive correlation between resilience and personal accomplishment as dimensions of burnout, are expected;
- (2)
- Significant positive correlations between low capacity for mentalizing and emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, and significant negative correlation between weak capacity for mentalizing and the dimension of personal accomplishment, are expected;
- (3)
- It was expected that a low capacity for mentalizing would be a positive predictor of burnout dimensions—emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, and resilience a negative predictor of the mentioned burnout dimensions.
