Insufficient quality PPE | “[Main challenge was] lack of appropriately fitted PPE—not enough N95 masks and no fit testing which should be mandated. I have no confidence that the N95 masks fit me properly. I don’t think my organisation was totally honest regarding PPE…We were told no surgical masks if looking after “low risk patients” on coronary care and surgical mask only for looking after COVID patients who were not coughing and not having an aerosolizing procedure. I gather these guidelines have now been changed due to the high numbers of health care worker infections—this was obvious from the beginning and has made it hard to trust hospital administration.
