- Week 1: Sleep is important to both physical and mental functioning. Make sleep a priority, as best as you can, wherever you can.
- Week 2: To help you feel more alert when you wake up, expose yourself to bright light right after waking, using sunlight or artificial blue-enriched light.
- Week 3: If needed, caffeine is best earlier in the day, and should be avoided (if possible) in the 6 h before bedtime, to prevent trouble falling asleep later.
- Week 4: Having trouble falling asleep? Try a muscle relaxation exercise, such as the one you learned in the sleep CLASS.
