Supply Chain Integration Enables Resilience, Flexibility, and Innovation to Improve Business Performance in COVID-19 Era
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The paper examines the effect of supply chain integration on business performance through innovation, flexibility, and resilience. This is a survey based research in which data are collected through questionnaire. The data is collected from manufacturing industry in Indonesia. The data is analyzed through structural equation modelling approach. This is well written paper which studies an important aspect of supply chain management. I have following suggestions for the clarity of the paper.
- There are abundant literature in Supply chain flexibility, resilience, innovation and business performance. There are already many studies that examines the relationship and effect of these supply chain constructs. As authors highlight that the novelty of this paper is to consider all five constructs in a single study. What is new about considering all five construct in a single study? What new insights can be brought forward by adding a new construct ? What you were expecting to analyze by adding a new construct before performing the study? In other words what research questions you were planning to answer before performing the study. Provide some explanation which can answer all these questions in the last paragraph of introduction section ( just before highlighting the novelty of the study).
- In the numerical experiment section, prepare a table highlighting which previous findings were supported by your study and which findings were not supported ( or find the contradictory results) in your study? It will be interesting for a reader to know the new insights (or findings) that is revealed by this study. I suggest to add a subsection in section 5 to discuss this issue.

1) The authors have clarified the problems but the author should determinate what is the main research question? And adjust the concept to make the manuscript more clearly, especially H5: The author use different directions: “Supply chain flexibility system” in hypothesis and in the Model is “flexibility system”.
2) The authors need to add more existing literature and discuss your findings with those relevant articles.
3) The discussion and implication section must more clearly be presented in this manuscript, such as theoretical and managerial implications.

Literature review on supply chain integrations is not sufficient, the authors should indicate the gaps of the literature. Then, they should give the differences and novelties of this study.
What are the methodological contributions of the study? What is new in this study?
Proofreading is required, there are a lot of typing errors in the manuscript.
