Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe article "Emission, transport and retention of marine macro-litter (plastics): The role of harbor and sailing festivals" is written very well and suits perfectly with the scope of the journal. The following points must be addressed while preparing the revised manuscript;
1. The title of the article is a generalized one, however the content deals specifically about the Baltic sea region. Hence the title may be appropriately modified to indicate this.
2. The first line in introduction section provides data related to waste plastics generated globally and it is very old (year 2010). Try to update it with more recent statistics.
3. Provide a concise data about the chemical types of plastics (macro and meso) that can be found in the marine litter.
4. The sampling was continuous for three years from 2017 - 2019 periods. Later on the data was collected in 2023 (due to pandemic as mentioned in the article). Elaborate more on the macro litter accumulated during the period 2019 to 2023 enbloc and how it contributed to the variance of the statistics presented in this study.
5. Elaborate more on the 3D hydrodynamic models used in this study based on references 24 to 26
6. Which software is used to plot Figures 5 and 6?

Comments and Suggestions for Authors- This work analyzes and discusses the emission, transport, and retention of marine macro-litter in the Baltic Sea. Its findings are a good reference for the related states to assess marine pollution and floating litter from the activities of the harbor and sailing festivals.
- It can also help international readers to understand the importance of litter as a major problem in the marine environment.
3. It’s suggested that the work can improve the legends of charts and units of tables.

Comments on the Quality of English LanguageThe text is of good quality. Some sentences/sections read like direct translations potentially from German. The readability is not hampered, though. I detected very few spelling mistakes.
