“Noninfective Endocarditis”: A Case Report of Hereditary Coagulation Disorders in a 28-Year-Old Male
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The authors have presented an interesting case, of a young patient with a peripheral embolus. This reviewer has additional comments:
- The authors have used a TTecho, was a TEecho considered. Realize that the Tech was positive but in some cases TEecho is preferred.
- Was family screening performed after the results of thrombophilia became known?
- The authors might discuss the use of collecting a blood sample before anticoagulation is started in those patients presenting with a thrombus at an unusual age.
