Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors It is necessary to considerably improve the analysis of results and their presentation. The sample, although with non-parametric statistics, could have carried out statistical contrast analyzes based on the independent variables. The paper is very poor with the only description in percentage of the data.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

1. I think the objectives should mention the main domains regarding inclusion opinions to be analysed (eg. by sets of items), clearing the descriptive purposes.

L135 - "The secondary objectives would be:"

These would be appropriate for another study, as in the present paper comparative data are not presented.

2. The instrument presentation is not clear, in terms of its design or main . characteristics (items, contents/ domain etc.)

3. I suggest splitting Table one in separate tables for each questions with corespondent affirmations, followed by comments and interpretation.

4. In question 10, regarding inclusive classes, iti is not clear if it refers to past experiences or how they consider it should be; it seems clear that the participants needed more options for answering (while there are very high percents of "I don't know"). For many affirmations, it is not just "black or white". Probably this would be a good point for future impovements of items.

5. There is some spanish text

En la quinta pregunta, el 60,5% de las personas cree que la calidad de la enseñanza 276 se define por los resultados académicos que tienen los alumnos mientras que un 53,9% 277 opina que se define por la formación que tienen todos los alumnos de la universidad. 278

Finally, the title creates different expectations, so mabe it should emphasize  -opinions and challenges regarding....-

Succes with inclusion!

Thank you, we have reformulated the objectives

2. The instrument presentation is not clear, in terms of its design or main . characteristics (items, contents/ domain etc.)

Thank you, we have expanded the explanation of the questionnaire.

3. I suggest splitting Table one in separate tables for each questions with corespondent affirmations, followed by comments and interpretation.

We have reformulated all the results so that they are more clearly visible now.

We will make improvements to the questionnaire for future research.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Report of review of the paper entitled Challenges Faced by Students with Difficulties at a university in the north of Spain

The topic of educational inclusion is highly relevant and pertinent in the current context. The research addresses a crucial aspect of higher education, especially in terms of equality and equity.

The paper offers a valuable contribution to the field of inclusive education. It provides specific empirical data about a university in Spain, which can serve as a reference for other educational institutions.

The abstract provides a comprehensible overview of the study, although it could benefit from greater specificity in the key findings.

The methodology is appropriate and well described. The use of online surveys to collect data is suitable given the study's context. However, it would be beneficial to include more details about the sampling process and the justification for the selection of participants. The study's objectives are clearly defined. The description of the methods is detailed and clear. Nonetheless, the section could be improved by providing a more detailed explanation of the statistical analysis techniques used.

The results are presented clearly and concisely. The graphs and tables used are helpful for understanding the data.

The discussion appropriately relates the results to existing literature and the study's objectives. However, it would be beneficial to explore more thoroughly the practical implications of the findings and the possible limitations of the study.

The conclusions are well-founded and reflect the study's results. It is recommended to include suggestions for future research and educational policies based on the findings.

Thank you very much. Even so, we have improved our results considerably.

Thank you. We have added a section on practical applications and further expanded the references.
