The authors explored the temperature change under the gingiva. The reviewer has the following concerns:
- The major concern is the importance of this study. The current version doesn't state why gingiva temperature is important in the clinic. Saliva and other biofluids may sustain the temperature for the oral cavity.
- The authors mentioned gum and periodontium very often; however, the authors really measured the gingival temperature. the reviewer suggests the authors change them to gingiva throughout the manuscript.
- In the background section, the author mentioned how orthodontic force impact the periodontium; however, this is irrelevant to how important of gingival temperature. Page 1: root cementum not cement. Scientific errors are unacceptable. gingiva, not gum.
- Figures 1 -3 are results, not methods.
- there is no discussion.
- no ethics details
- Table 1: where is SD? the authors should state the results in dot plot graph with individual patients' data.

The manuscript presents a interesting new content. However some major issues needs to be resolved.
Material and Methods
1.The Ethical Committee registration number needs to be stated the manuscript.
2. MDPI follows the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) guidelines which require and recommend registration of clinical trials in a public trials registry at or before the time of first patient enrollment as a condition of consideration for publication. The number should be stated in the manuscript.
3. The medical thermal imaging camera used in the study should be specified (name, producer etc).

The research is well designed and carried out.
Abstract: please remove paragraphs and add some informations , in order to have a more complete overview of your work.
Introduction contains enough background informations regarding periodontal aspect, but you should improve orthodontic elastics part.
Materials and methods are clearly described, but which kind of thermo-scanner and which software did you use? please state it.

Whatever the necessary changes have been made and the article after clearing some points belowe would be ready for publication
My doubts are raised by the use of the thermal camera that does not seem to be certified for use in medicine - it would be worth discussing such limitations.
It is worth describing how the temperature conditions in the room were controlled and discussing whether the patient's body temperature should be taken into account.
It should also be added for all described devices and software - manufacturer, city, country.
