Reviewer 2 Report

This article details the design, construction and testing of a system for resetting faults in corn planters. It is a very interesting application with important practical contributions.

The work of design, construction and testing of the prototype is well done, it is a good job.

However, the writing of the article would need to be improved, for example, on pp. 1 and 2 refer to potato planters to justify what needs to be improved in corn planters, which does not make much sense, since they are very different machines. On the other hand, the conclusion is quickly reached that an automatic compensation system for lost seeds is necessary, without a clear justification.

The wording of the materials and methods section is very confusing, unknown words and unreferenced trademarks. This whole section should be rewritten. Specifically, the first paragraph on pp 4 needs to be completely rewritten in a clear way.

There are more formal aspects that should be corrected, in the document I have marked in yellow and I have also added comments in the margin, however, not all of them are indicated, since those errors that are recurrent should be detected and modified by the authors themselves.
