Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors provided a detailed calibration of high frequency VNA for OMTs. It’s a good reference for readers. However the paper didn’t discuss the leakage signals from different modes that may reduce the accuracy of the measurement. The methods in this paper seemed not able to distinguish the signals from different modes.

The manuscript is well written and should be published without any changes.

Reviewer 3 Report

  • Unify the way to write the Orthomode in the title and body of the paper.
  • Line 46: 22 papers have been cited at once. Please revise it and reduce the number of cited papers or elaborate on each of these papers to clarify its importance to the reader.
  • I don't see a good review of the state of the art of other techniques. Please explain more about the related work from the other authors in the literature.
  • Figure titles are not appropriate ( for example, Fig. 6 has 16 lines!!??) and therefore they should be briefed with a few lines while the rest of the text can be clarified in the main body of the paper.
  • More analysis (curves, results..etc) should be considered including simulation and measurement results.
  • Many Equations haven't been referenced.
  • Why most of the references are from old publications? Any new investigations have been presented by other researchers on the same topic recently?
  • The English of the paper should be revised.
