- a.
- Patients aged 19–75 years diagnosed with FD according to the Rome IV criteria.
- b.
- Patients with an overall dyspeptic symptom severity of ≥40 assessed on a visual analog scale (VAS, 0–100).

- Exclusion Criteria
- a.
- Organic gastrointestinal causes or alarm symptoms.
- b.
- Severe structural or psychiatric disorders.
- c.
- History of gastrointestinal surgery owing to a prior gastrointestinal disease.
- d.
- Patients who had recently taken medications affecting the gastrointestinal tract, including prokinetic agents, proton pump inhibitors, anti-ulcer drugs, antiemetics, and anticholinergics.
