The author was responsible for these errors in the original publication [1], as listed below:

• Text Correction

In the “Abstract” and Section “7. Conclusions, Implications and Outlook for Further Research”, it should read 19% instead of 10% regarding the variance in occurrence of misconduct.

“We found that publication pressure explains 19% of the variance in occurrence of misconduct and between 7% and 13% of the variance of the perception of distributive and organisational justice as well as overcommitment to work.”

When describing the control variables and subsequent analyses, a reference category (primary employer) was missing in Section “3.2.3. Control Variables”, and Section “4.4. Structural Equation Model”. The correct categories should be:

“gender: female/non-binary; academic position: full professor; primary employer: non-academic; institute location: Global South; number of papers published: 1–5.”

In Section “5. Discussion”, the variance values for Global South should be 8% instead of 5%; for organisational justice in terms of telescope time application should be 2% instead of 3%, and for publication pressure should be 19% instead of 10%.

“We found that the location of the institution where an astronomer is employed in terms of the Global North versus Global South makes up about 8% of the variance of observed misconduct. Perceived organisational justice in terms of telescope time application processes explains 2% and perceived publication pressure explains nearly 19% of the variance of observed misconduct.”

• Citation Correction

On page 5 paragraph “New public management”, a reference is spelled out instead of using its corresponding numbering.

“at the cost of research integrity and the scientific enterprise (Anderson et al., 2007)“ should be “at the cost of research integrity and the scientific enterprise [12]”

In Section “3.2.1. Dependent Variables”, a reference was mixed up.

“Martinson et al. [15,19,25,26]” should be “Martinson et al. [17,19,25,26]”

The author state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
