The Drug H+ Antiporter FgQdr2 Is Essential for Multiple Drug Resistance, Ion Homeostasis, and Pathogenicity in Fusarium graminearum
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The issues raised in the article "The drug: H+ antiporter FgQdr2 is essential for multiple drug resistance, ion homeostasis and pathogenicity in Fusarium gra- 2 minearum" are important for the development of guidelines for integrated pest management and food security . The research conducted is novel significantly expanding the knowledge of fusarium pathogenicity.
The results provide insight into the increasingly serious problems of DON contamination and antifungal drug resistance in the control of FHB, and expand the knowledge of DHA transporters in fungi. The research performed is carried out comprehensively. The methodological description and interpretation of the results are detailed and comprehensive.
I have no comments on the reviewed work.

We thank the reviewer for the positive comments.
Reviewer 2 Report
This is an interesting scientific paper in which the authors reported about the crucial roles of FgQdr2 in multiple drug resistance, ion homeostasis and pathogenicity, which advance the understanding of the DHA transporters in fungus F. graminearum. In the research work, the authors used appropriate methods and analyzes to obtain and interpret the results. After a careful review of the article. I conclude that it is suitable for publication, but before accepting the article for publication, I suggest the following additions:
line 30: when the species is firts mentioned in the text, it should be written with the full Latin name: Fusarium graminearum Schwabe
line 41: I suggest to add some references about the use of fungicides against FHB, for example: VUÄŒAJNK et al. 2018. Head and leaf fungicide deposit on winter wheat, deoxynivalenol content and yield parameters as affected by different nozzle types. Cereal research communications, 46, 2: 321-332.
lines 75-76: since the candida species are first mentioned in the text, they should be written the full Latin names.

Author responses:
We thank the reviewer for the great comments and suggestions, which have helped us to substantially improve the manuscript. Here are the point-by-point responses to the raised comments, and the revised contents in the manuscript were highlighted in red.
line 30: when the species is first mentioned in the text, it should be written with the full Latin name: Fusarium graminearum Schwabe
-Re: Thanks for the kind reminder. We have fixed that (line 14).

-Re: Thanks for the suggestions. We have added the related reference according to your advice (line 44-48).
