We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Licheng Wang was recently appointed Section Editor-in-Chief (SEiC) of the Section “Cryptography Reviews” in the journal Cryptography (ISSN: 2410-387X).
Prof. Dr. Licheng Wang received his Ph.D. degree in cryptography from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2007. He is currently a Professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology and is interested in cryptography, blockchain, and vehicle network security. Prof. Dr. Licheng Wang joined Cryptography’s Editorial Board when the journal launched in 2017 and is now to be appointed as the Section Editor-in-Chief of “Cryptography Reviews”.
The following is a short Q&A with Prof. Dr. Licheng Wang, who shared his vision for the journal with us, as well as his views on the research area and open access publishing:
1. What appealed to you about the journal that made you want to take the role as its Section Editor-in-Chief?
Review papers are very important; collecting enough review papers could lead to more citations. I proposed this project a few years ago; however, only 4 papers have been published online so far. I am happy to be SEiC for the “Cryptography Reviews” Section.
2. What is your vision for the Section?
To publish 5–6 high-quality review papers each year.
3. What does the future of this field of research look like?
Obtaining more citations for the journal.
4. What do you think of the development of open access in the publishing field?
OA is very useful.
We warmly welcome Prof. Dr. Licheng Wang as he takes on his new role as Section Editor-in-Chief. We believe that Cryptography and the “Cryptography Reviews” Section will achieve more milestones with his help. To celebrate this occasion, we have compiled a list of featured papers that may be of interest to you.
