Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We previously published a successful Special Issue entitled “Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy of Antimicrobial Agents” (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/antibiotics/special_issues/Phar_Anti). This result encouraged us to produce a second volume on the same topic.

This second volume will include research and manuscripts on the clinical pharmacology and pharmacy of antimicrobial agents from both human and veterinary medicine, as the complex problem of AMR requires the actions to be taken using the One Health approach, involving both fields. Studies regarding the new or optimized usage of already authorized antimicrobials, strategies for enhancing the quality of the antimicrobials employed in human and animal health, as well as discoveries regarding new agents, combinations, and drug repositioning can be submitted. The pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic, and toxicological aspects of individual and combinational drug use can be addressed. Comprehensive reviews in this field are also welcome.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass the pre-check stage are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the Special Issue website. We welcome the submission of research articles, review articles and short communications. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information regarding the submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Antibiotics is an international peer-reviewed open access journal that is published monthly by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is CHF 2900 (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
