The Special Issue of the journal Applied Sciences focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR). This Special Issue explores the innovative use of AI to enhance and optimize VR/AR applications, particularly in fields such as education, healthcare, gaming, and industrial training. Contributions to this issue delve into the integration of machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing with VR/AR systems to create more intelligent, adaptive, and immersive environments. The Special Issue seeks to highlight cutting-edge research that addresses challenges related to real-time data processing, human-computer interaction, and the development of scalable AI-driven VR/AR platforms. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
