Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Many countries have entered an aging society, and the healthcare field is facing serious challenges, such as a sharp increase in social security costs associated with the ever-increasing proportion of elderly people and a shortage of human resources for medical care and nursing care. To solve these challenges, “digital healthcare,” which aims to realize a healthy and longevity society where people can feel lively by utilizing digital technology, is attracting attention. Digital healthcare refers to the use of the latest digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), chatbots, IoT, wearable devices, big data analysis, and virtual reality (VR), to improve the effectiveness of medical care and healthcare. This Special Issue focuses on advanced technologies in digital healthcare for the elderly.
