Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The development of new, innovative, and advanced functional nanomaterials with controlled features and the resulting devices at a nanometer scale are the core of research, development, and innovation. Including various other areas, the development of sensing devices using functional nanomaterials is one of the most important research areas. The progress of nanotechnology provides a platform for fine-tuning materials for highly efficient sensor applications. Efficient sensors based on functional nanomaterials offer many benefits such as a small size, low weight, low power consumption, and enhanced sensitivity. These characteristics make it possible to apply sensors in many fields, including health care, military, industrial control and robotics, networking, communications, environmental monitoring, and so on.
By organizing this Special Issue, we are inviting the sensor community to contribute original, unpublished research/review articles and short communications. This Special Issue is focused on the synthesis and characterization of functional nanomaterials for sensing applications. Furthermore, the modification of sensing characteristics by tailoring nanomaterial properties is of great interest in this Special Issue.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Chemosensors is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
