Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The field of robotics and intelligent systems has witnessed unprecedented advancements, driven by innovations in artificial intelligence and computing systems. A comprehensive overview of the latest developments in these domains is provided, focusing on advanced robotic mechanisms, sophisticated control algorithms, and emerging intelligent systems. Novel robotic designs that enhance functionality and adaptability are also explored, along with the integration of machine learning techniques for improved decision making and autonomy. The application of these technologies across various sectors (manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, etc.) is also examined. By examining recent research and practical implementations, a detailed perspective on the current landscape and future trajectory of robotics and intelligent systems is offered here, aiming to highlight their impact on technological innovation and societal advancement.
This Special Issue is encouraging researchers to share their technical achievements and is aiming to gather the latest advances, innovations, and applications in the field of intelligent systems such as robotics and cyber-physical and embedded systems. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Robot mechanisms and design;
- Robot system and software architectures;
- Communication network for distributed control systems;
- Applications on artificial intelligence and machine learning;
- Autonomous systems and navigation;
- Autonomous vehicle technologies;
- User interface design for robotics;
- Robotics in industry and manufacturing;
- Healthcare robotics;
- Intelligent system integration;
- Cyber-physical systems;
- Smart environments and context-aware systems;
- Robotics and intelligent system applications.
Submissions should be of high quality, suitable for an international journal, and should not have been submitted or published elsewhere.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
