Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Robotics and automation control systems are playing an increasingly important role in human production and daily life. In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence, automation control technology has also witnessed significant progress. Robotics, as one of the most representative application areas of automation control systems, has garnered significant attention from scholars, who have conducted in-depth research and achieved remarkable progress.
This Special Issue aims to bring together the latest research and innovations from both academia and industry, focusing on robotics and automation control systems. It covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to intelligent perception, autonomous decision making, and high-speed high-precision motion control technology for robots. Additionally, studies on advanced automation control systems applicable to robotics are also welcome. We hope this can be a platform for researchers and practitioners to share their findings, exchange ideas, and collaborate to drive further progress in this exciting field.
We invite researchers, engineers, and experts from related fields to submit their high-quality research papers and review articles, contributing to this comprehensive exploration of the advancements in Robotics and Automation Control Systems.
The topics of interest within the scope of this Special Issue include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Modelling, analysis, and control for all kinds of robot systems;
- Path planning and optimization for robot navigation algorithm;
- Image-based navigation of mobile robots;
- Motion analysis and object tracking;
- Advanced computer vision techniques;
- Wireless techniques for connected robots;
- Fast algorithms for embedded solutions;
- Intelligent systems and machine learning;
- Design and implementation of automation control systems;
- Fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control;
- Advanced control theory and related applications, such as UAVs, spacecraft, electronic manufacturing machines, etc.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
