Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue focuses on global fishing, exploring technological innovations, emerging practices, fish stock management, environmental and ecosystem impacts, international governance and policies, social sustainability in coastal communities, and regional case studies. It aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the challenges and corresponding solutions in sustainable fishing, fostering debate among researchers, marine resource managers, and policy makers. This Special Issue seeks to promote the dissemination of advanced knowledge and advocate innovative strategies to ensure the long-term health of marine ecosystems and the well-being of the communities dependent on them. Topics of interest include fishing techniques, yield rates, and bycatch mitigation efforts.

I invite submissions of original, high-quality research papers addressing these topics, aiming to advance our understanding and practices in sustainable fishing. Contributions that offer innovative approaches, insightful analyses, and practical solutions are encouraged. This Special Issue seeks to feature diverse perspectives and robust scientific contributions that will inform policy making and conservation efforts for marine ecosystems worldwide.
