Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Vector-borne infections continue to pose a significant threat to global public health, with diseases such as malaria, dengue, and Lyme disease affecting millions of people annually. Some of these diseases, previously unidentified in certain regions or countries, are now emerging, likely due to factors such as climate change, increased urbanization, and insecticide resistance.

Given these challenges, it is crucial to understand the complexity of vector biology to develop effective disease control and prevention strategies. Additionally, ensuring the availability of molecular diagnostics capable of rapidly detecting and monitoring vector-borne pathogens is essential for timely interventions and improved surveillance.

For this Special Issue of Pathogens, we invite you to submit reviews or original research on topics related to vector biology, novel control methodologies, and the development of advanced molecular diagnostic tools for vector-borne diseases.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Pathogens is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
