Dear Colleagues,
In recent years, the application of lipid-based nanoparticles (LNPs) in transdermal drug delivery has gained significant attention in the field of pharmaceutics. With the skin acting as a significant barrier to drug penetration, traditional transdermal delivery methods face limitations in efficacy. LNPs may serve as a means to enhance transdermal drug delivery systems, offering a promising solution and leveraging their biocompatibility, flexibility in drug loading, and ability to penetrate the skin more effectively than conventional formulations.
This Special Issue aims to showcase the latest advancements in strategies for preparation, methodologies for monitoring the permeation, and applications of LNPs in transdermal drug delivery, highlighting their importance in overcoming the current challenges and paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies. By bringing together original research articles and reviews from experts in this field, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in this exciting area of research.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Pharmaceutics is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
